Kiddieland Train Stays in Motion

By: Import User
Updated: January 7, 2009
It`s been the sight of fun and laughter for almost 50 years and now the enjoyment will continue. Thanks to local donations, the Kiddieland Train at the Carthage Memorial Park will stay in motion. Members of the Carthage Kiwanis Club began their drive for donations a few months ago and members say they have received their limit, and then some. Their goal was a little more than $7,500 to replace the original rails from 1953 when Kiddieland was opened, but they`ve received even more. Now repairs will be made on other pieces of equipment in the park.
