JOPLIN, MO--- Joplin City Manager Mark Rohr says the city increases its rebuilding efforts steadily every week. He says 71% of homes affected by the May 22nd tornado have been rebuilt, repaired, or have permits to rebuild. Of the 500 plus businesses affected, 85% of those have rebuilt.

As the city makes progress, officials want to remind residents of available resources to help rebuild. City leaders will continue to hold press conferences highlighting some of these available resources.

"We have a steady increase, a steady pace, a little short of 1% a week in terms of housing improvements but nevertheless continual progress we hope will continue from this point on," Rohr says.

This coming Monday the master developer with Wallace-Bajjali will share project proposals for the city.
