JOPLIN, MO--- A manhunt is underway for a Tulsa teenager wanted in a Joplin murder case. Daniel Hartman, 17, of Tulsa, is accused of killing Jacob Wages, 23, of Joplin. Police were first called to his home at 1912 South Pearl Street, last Friday morning. An autopsy on Saturday confirmed the victim had been shot with a handgun. Joplin Police then called in the Tri-State Major Case Squad, following more than 100 leads in the case. That led to charges of 1st Degree Murder, 1st Degree Burglary and Armed Criminal Action, against Hartman. He is currently at large.

"In this case in particular there were a lot of people we wanted to go out and interview very quickly so we had the ability to call upon that resource," states LT. Darren Gallup, Joplin Police Department.

Police have also arrested two suspects in the burglary of the victims home. Johnathan J. Taylor, 19, of Joplin and Cody E. Stephens, 20, of Parsons, Kansas are accused of taking a black lock box belonging to Wages. Police say they don't believe Wages knew the suspects before the crime.

If you have any information please contact the Joplin Police Department or your local authorities.
