PITTSBURG, KS.--- Baby for Baby, recycles baby clothes and redistributes it to mothers. Employees at the Community Health Center in Southeast Kansas, gives out bags that are gender specific and for ages up to five. Each bag contains several items that are season specific and also includes hats, bibs, and blankets. Volunteers with the drive say when they first started out they would provide ten bags a week. They say last week they gave out 100 in just a few hours.

"They just don't have the funds to go out and buy the necessary funds for their family. They're trying to make their house payments, they're trying to make their utility payments and buy food for their family. Clothes is the last thing on their mind," states Julie Laverack, Patient Navigator.

Anyone with baby clothes or equipment can drop their clothing off at the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas. Mothers who aren't patients at he hospital can pick up clothing.
