JOPLIN, MO.--There are more than 3,000 jobs available in Southwest Missouri, according to a new study.

The Missouri Real Time Labor Market Summary shows the top recent job postings came from hospitals. Just under those are trucking jobs as well as gambling industries.

Workforce experts say many of the positions listed are not only seasonal there are a lot of full time permanent jobs available as well.

Experts say it may be harder to find a job because employers are asking for a lot more skills.

Executive Director for the Workforce Investment Board Jasen Jones says,"A lot of folks think that once they finish high school or college that they're done learning and that's just not the case.  The jobs and the demands that businesses and employers face continue to rise and so the skill and the workforce need to keep up with that."

Jones says there are also a lot of manufacturing, construction, and hospitality jobs available as well.
