CHEROKEE COUNTY, KS.--- US 69-A  is now open North of Baxtersprings after being closed for 2 months for road and bridge repairs. Crews from the Kansas Department of Transportation made repairs to the Willow Creek bridge and resurfaced the road. While the road is open to traffic, KDot officials are still asking drivers to watch out for workers completing final tasks.

Meanwhile, work will begin Monday on the Spring River bridge on US 400. KDot crews will be making repairs to the bridge and resurfacing that road as well. Crews will close the road, and are advising drivers to detour through Baxtersprings on US 69-A to Highway 166 West. The $370,000 project is expected to take several months to complete.
