OSWEGO, KS.--- A new arena is drawing big crowds to Labette county despite the heat. The new facility was officially dedicated last night at the county fairgrounds in Oswego. The arena is named for the family that donated the money to build it. They also created the new layout. Along with rodeos, the designer says it can be used from many other events.

This is going to enable to have several other events not only here at the fair but throughout the year, so it's just a tremendous facility," states Rick McKinzie, Arena Designer.

McKinzie says the new arena is one of the largest of its kind in Kansas. He says it will be used frequently during the week's county fair.
