A Joplin man faces charges in connection with a weekend hit and run accident. A spokesman for the Joplin Police Department says the accident involved a car and motorcycle and happened early Saturday morning at 3rd and Wall. Police say 31-year-old Francis McDaniel was arrested on Sunday and charged with leaving the scene of an accident. Police say McDaniel drove away in a black Mitsubishi with Rhode Island tags. The driver of the motorcycle and a passenger on it were both hospitalized following the wreck. Their names and conditions are not being released. McDaniels bond has been set at 50,000.
