JOPLIN, MO.--- Joplin Habitat for Humanity teamed up with College Heights Christian Church to build houses for two families in need. Ethan and Amber Millard and Amy Irvin have been living in FEMA and other temporary shelters for more than a year. Today, in two separate dedication ceremonies, church leaders presented each family with keys to their home and a new Bible.

"Today is the culmination of a lot of work. It takes a lot to build a house. College Heights partnered with us on these particular two homes and it's a celebration of a beautiful home being done and two great families, who worked hard for the homes, get to move in," states Scott Clayton, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity.

"I'm just finally ready for me and the kids to be settled. We haven't been settled since May 22nd and we're just ready to be settled and have a home that we can come home to every night and be happy about where we are coming home to," states Amy Irvin, Homeowner.

These are the 51st and 52nd Habitat houses built by the Joplin Area Habitat for Humanity.
