BRANSON, MO.--- "The ride is like no other coaster in America," states Brad Thomas, Silver Dollar City.

A sneak peek of what's coming to Silver Dollar City. This thrill ride is labeled the most daring wood coaster in the world, The Outlaw Run. It's set in the woods of the Ozark mountains.

"It's on the outskirts of town where there's outlaws running and lawmen are trying to catch the outlaws," states Thomas.

The monster coaster has the world's steepest drop on a wood coaster, more than 16 stories, 162 foot drop at 81 degrees. The world's only wood coaster to twist upside down, including a 720 degree double barrel roll. There's more, it's also the 2nd fastest wooden coaster in the world.

"There's a nice, we're going to call it airtime thrill by roller coaster enthusiast. It's going to be that floating feeling. Your going fast and you'll start to drop, and it's going to lift you out of your seat! Then you go on a double barrel roll," states Duane Marden, Roller Coaster Data Base.

The Outlaw Run will be ready for, those that dare, to take the adventure on the ride next spring. Those behind the Silver Dollar City project say they wanted to bring something to the Ozarks, something like none other, something that would bring visitors from all over.

"We worked very hard to find a attraction that would have significant marketing appeal so we could say this is the only place you can find it," states Thomas.

The cost of the project, $10 million. The Outlaw Run is expected to draw 65,000 people in attendance next year.
