Hormones tied to stress can be a good thing.
"There's that sweet spot that you feel some energy to be able to do what you need to do. There are times that can improve your ability to recall information. It can be more put together," states Camp.
Whether it's a big presentation at work or a championship football game, you have to hit the right balance or the stress turns counter productive.
"So, a little more than that anxiety level and most people can feel, can be counter productive. They become so anxious they begin to lose their vocabulary. They shake to the point they notice they're shaking and that makes them more anxious," states Camp.
The key to reducing stress can be as simple as getting better sleep or exercising regularly.
