NEOSHO -- Neosho city council members have been working to install a traffic light at the intersection of highway 60 and Kodiak Road for years. With the help of the Neosho Transportation Development District, the project was supposed to begin this year through the Missouri Department of Transportation. However, recent legal issues with the TDD have put construction of hold. City council members say if the district is dissolved the project could be scrapped all together. They have offered to cover the TDD's share of the finances in order for MoDOT to carry out the project. Neosho cit council members say the light is a a primary concern because of safety issues. The intersection is very busy and located near two Neosho schools.
