JOPLIN, MO.---  A representative with Ashley Furniture Home Store presented the Ronald Mcdonald House in Joplin with a check worth more than $1,300  today. The money will go toward funding overnight stays and necessities for parents with children who are terminally ill and receiving medical care. Ashley Furniture raised the money as part of their monthly community night to raise money for local charities.

"Ronald McDonald House couldn't do what we do without the generosity of individuals and corporations in the Four State area to help us," states Tara Horinek, Associate Director.

The house currently has 7 families staying there. It costs a family $10 per night.
