JOPLIN, MO.--- The U.S. Census Bureau has chosen 2,500 businesses in the Joplin area to participate in the 2012 economic census. It's a survey collected once every 5 years to measure activity in the business market and chart growth trends. Businesses are required by law to respond, which will be conducted through mail-in surveys over the next 2 months. The selected Joplin businesses are part of 4 million across the nation chosen for this study.
