FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS--- Conner Eldridge, United States Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas, announced today that Carmen Boche Perez, 54, of Lowell, Arkansas, was sentenced today to 70 months imprisonment without parole for Possession of Child Pornography. United States District Court Judge, Jim Larry Hendren ordered Boche Perez to pay $12,500 in fines and to serve 5 years supervised probation upon his release from prison.

United States Attorney Eldridge commented, "This crime is reprehensible and horrendous. We will continue to aggressively prosecute those who victimize our children."

According to court documents, on October 27, 2010, Immigration agents came in contact with Boche-Perez as he was attempting to cross the border from Mexico into the United States. The agents searched Boche-Perez's luggage and discovered multiple DVD disks, which contained videos of minors engaging in sexual activity. At that time, Boche-Perez admitted to having another DVD containing child pornography at his residence in Lowell, Arkansas. A federal search warrant was obtained and a subsequent search of the residence revealed one DVD containing multiple video clips of child pornography. On May 10, 2012, Boche-Perez pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography accounting for the single DVD containing child pornography located in Arkansas.

This case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations. Assistant United States Attorney Dustin Roberts prosecuted this case for the United States.
