JOPLIN, MO.--- The Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce marked its 95th birthday today. Local restaurants were on hand with delicious food along with games and Roary, the MSSU mascot. The director of communications says this is their way of saying thank you to the community.

"You look at what we have ahead of us in the next 5, 10, 15 years the chambers right at the center of it and we love being apart of this community and helping our businesses of all sizes grow," states Kirstie Smith, Director of Communications.

Smith says this month the chamber is extending a special invitation to everyone to join the chamber.
