PARSONS, KS.--- Proud Animal Lovers Shelter serves as an adoption agency in Labette County. Shelter directors say they rely completely on donations and volunteers to stay in operation. Recently, the number of volunteers has begun to taper off, and that has shelter managers concerned. They say help is needed in any role. especially in maintaining the shelter.
"It's the hardest job we have, the cleaning that's required after the animals are put up for the night. it's the hardest job we have, and the most important job we have." states Elaine Harris, Proud Animal Lovers Shelter.
If you would like to volunteer, you can contact the shelter at 620-421-0445.
