JOPLIN, MO.--- Local Republicans and Democrats gathered tonight to hear what the vice presidential candidates had to say. The Republicans hosted a watch party at their Victory Office in Joplin, while the Democrats gathered at Gusanos Pizza. While both parties argued about who actually won the debate, each candidate did a good job focusing on key issues.

"Paul Ryans case we want him vice president and to write the financial ship that the current vice president has sent off into the ditch," states Nick Myers, Republican.
"Vice President Biden has shown that the foreign policy of the Obama Biden administration is spot on we have received a lot of the respect that we lost," states Patrick Barham, Democrat.
Both men say it's important to hear what the vice presidential candidates have to say, because they're a heartbeat away from becoming president.
