Carthage Art Walk

CARTHAGE, MO.--- The Carthage Art Walk officially kicked off today. It's the official start to the Maple Leaf Celebration. Local painter, Jerry Ellis is the featured artist. Several of his works spotlight Carthage and will be displayed at area businesses. On Friday, a live band will perform and people can walk into the different stores on the square to see the art on display. 

"I think art walk is a great event, fee activities with the whole family to incorporate art and cultural awareness as well as get out and spend time walking with the family," states Wendi Douglas, Carthage CVB.

The art walk will continue until 9:30 tonight. The event continues Saturday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. It's free to the public.
