CARTERVILLE -- The Carterville Public Works Department will be testing and locating water valves November 5-16. Residents may experience low water pressure, cloudy water and possible no water all Monday-Friday, 8AM-4PM. The public works director says if a water shut-off is necessary, people can expect it to be turned back on before the end of the workday. City employees will also conduct fire hydrant flushing during that time. If you have any questions about the work being done, you can contact city hall at (417) 673-1341.
