JOPLIN, MO.--- Arvest Bank in Joplin donated a check worth more than $10,000 to Ozark Food Harvest today. It's part of their one million meals campaign to raise money and donations to help feed the hungry. Arvest employees and customers in the Joplin area made more than $38,000 in monetary and canned food donations.

"Food insecurity is a big deal. We think about the kids that have to go home after school and don't have anything to eat on the weekends, so they really need this," states Amy Howe, Marketing Director.

Arvest Banks nationwide raised a total of 1.3 million dollars. Leaders say that's $150,000 more than last year.
