JOPLIN, MO.----The Joplin Family Worship Center's Medical Clinic was lifted by crane on to a truck this morning, it's currently on the road, on it's way to the gospel Assembly Church on Coney Island. Boxes of donated coats, blankets, sleeping bags, and baby products have been stuffed into the clinic. The items will be handed out to victims of Hurricane Sandy. The clinic was donated to the church following the Joplin tornado.
"What we are doing is responding in this paying it forward, sewing it into another person's life so that they can be warm, so that they'll know people care about them," states Pastor Daniel Wermuth, Joplin Family Worship Center.
"It feels good, but you can't do enough but you do what you can do. We're glad to do it," states Al Prescott, Driver.
One of the center's coordinator's is driving the truck. The donations will be handed out Saturday morning. The pastor says they plan to continue sending more aid to victims in the weeks to come.
