JOPLIN, MO.--- 16 members of the Southwest Missouri Region 'C' and 'D' Incident Support Teams are heading to Inwood, New York in the next few hours. Representatives from the police and fire departments, and utility workers make up the team. Local first responders say they are excited to help in any way they can.

"We'll be looking to help get sheltering operations continued, to probably help meet whatever needs are there for the local residents with food, water, electricity," states Michael White, Assistant Chief, Redings Mill Fire Department.

The support team will be in New York for at least the next 14 days.
