JOPLIN -- Members of Missouri Southern State University's Kappa Alpha Order ran 36 miles Saturday to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The group started their run at Pittsburg Sate University at 6AM, and ended their journey at Fred G. Hughes stadium on the campus of MSSU. This is an annual event which coincides with the yearly rivalry football game between the two schools. Chapter president TJ Steen says members were happy to sacrifice the extra sleeping time. Local businesses helped sponsor the run, which raised $1,500 for the MDA.
