PITTSBURG, KS.---- Teresa Spangler initiated "PCMS Cares" at Pittsburg Community Middle School. The goal is to collect used and new hardware supplies for first responders on the East Coast. A group of 50 volunteers with Crisis Response International are helping rebuild homes damaged by Hurricane Sandy and are in need of tools. Spangler is a part of the group. She hopes to fill a semi trailer with donations by December 3rd.

"We really want to just foster that empathy in our kids to people that are in rough situations and just encourage them to reach out and help in any way they can," states Teresa Spangler, PCMS Counselor.

You can drop items off at the middle school or T.H. Rogers Lumber Company on Broadway.
