NEVADA, MO.--- During a special assembly, Nevada High School students read poems praising soldiers, while the band and choir each performed. Representative Barney Fisher also spoke about honoring all veterans. The ROTC instructor says the assembly reminds students about how important freedom is.
"It's really important that as the world changes the kids keep being reminded of what sacrifices their fathers, their grandfathers, their great grandfathers have made," states Lt. Col. David Cross, Jr. ROTC Instructor.
ROTC students spent a number of weeks prepping for the assembly.
