Update: Deadly Plane Crash Near Stotts City

STOTTS CITY, MO.---- A preliminary report from the NTSB points to engine problems in the crash near Stotts City. A witness said the right engine had just been replaced days before and was having trouble that day. Shortly after take off, that witness claims passenger Deryl Edwards Jr. said the right engine was leaking either fuel or oil. The report says Edwards also noted they were losing oil pressure, and that the pilot Richard Armstrong would attempt an emergency landing on I-44. The plane exploded on impact, killing both men. It may take another 8 months before the final report is released.
