NEVADA, MO.--- Today, Empire District Electric crews were at Quick Dine sealing up the gas line. Demolition began several days ago. Roofing and scrap metal has been removed from the building. No word on how long it will take to destroy the structure. The City of Nevada granted a demolition permit at the request of a contractor in late October. Owners of the property haven't yet said what they plan to do once the building is gone. The Quick Dine suffered heavy damage on October 23rd when a semi truck smashed into it, leaving 2 dead and two others injured.
