CARTHAGE, MO.--- Volunteers with the Vietnamese Catholic Church are only decorating a mile stretch of lights this season. In the past, they've decorated the full 2 mile roadway surrounding their building. The change comes after the staff lost more than half of their volunteers, only 4 people are decorating the site this year. Organizers say it was important to continue the 30 year tradition despite the challenges.
"It's very special because it's the only thing we can contribute to the Christmas season for everyone in the city," states Father Paul Tren.
You can enjoy the free light show beginning Thanksgiving night until New Years. It will be open Thursday through Sunday evenings.
