Nathan Spencer Sentenced for Shooting

JOPLIN, MO--- Nathan Spencer, 21, was sentenced to 13 years after he plead guilty to two felony counts of First Degree Assault, and Armed Criminal Action in Newton County Court. Spencer shot Andrew Yaple multiple time with a .22 caliber handgun over a drag racing incident in March of 2010. Yaple survived the shooting, but still suffers with medical issues as a result of the shooting. Spencer will be required to serve 85% of his term before being eligible for parole.
