JOPLIN, MO.--- Joplin Police Officers say thieves took building supplies from a new Catholic Charities home. Leaders with Catholic Charities say 7 new windows were stolen from the site. Volunteers with the organization are working to build this home on the 2200 block of Harlem. The incident happened between the night of December 3rd and the early morning hours of December 4th. The stolen windows were stored under other materials. Police say they were worth several thousand dollars.

"It's really unfortunate that people chose to steal from a charity, which I mean stealing is wrong to begin with, but from a charity it kind of makes it even worse," states Chuck Niess, Joplin Police Department.

Police don't have any leads at this time. If you have any information about the crime,  you are asked to call the Joplin Police Department.
