JOPLIN, MO.---  Employees with C&M Machining are making interior parts for "Virgin Galactic." Virgin plans to provide space flights to tourists. C&M makes aerospace parts, and this is the first contract they've been awarded with Virgin Galactic. The company president says his employees are excited they'll get the chance to make the materials.

"They just sent us the stuff. We threw some numbers on it. They sent us a purchase order because they need the parts in a pretty short time frame and they know we can do it," states Mark Johnson, C&M Machining President.

The company will make make seat frames, door fittings and decorative trim for the new space craft.
