JOPLIN, MO.--- The Kansas City Southern Holiday Express arrived in downtown Joplin today. It was built 12 years ago to give back to communities by giving out gift certificates to the Salvation Army. The train features exhibits for children, as well as a chance for them to meet the special man of the season.

"We just like to bring Christmas to children that normally don't have a Christmas. You know Santa Claus he comes to Joplin probably in a lot of ways but today he's coming to Joplin on the train," Willis Kilpatrick, head elf.

The train will be in downtown Joplin until 9 p.m. and if you miss it tonight, you can catch it tomorrow in Pittsburg. It will be at Elm and Monroe Streets at 4 p.m.
