JOPLIN, MO.--- Joplin city and restaurant officials celebrated the grand opening of Longhorn Steakhouse with a ribbon cutting this morning. The 62 hundred square foot space seats more than 240 guests. Cowboy boots, old fashioned picture frames, and a longhorn mounted over the bar compliment the restaurant's western atmosphere.

Managing partner Phillip Leesman says the new Longhorn Steakhouse has created 110 jobs, and says he is thrilled to serve the Joplin community.

"We've always focused on making sure that when we do things, we do it the Longhorn way, and that the food is amazing, boldly seasoned, and perfectly grilled. That the service is over the top and we give that cut above experience for all our guests," states Phillip Leesman, Managing Partner.

This is the first Longhorn Steakhouse to hit the Joplin market. It's the 406th restaurant of the franchise nationwide in 38 states.
