OTTAWA COUNTY, OK--- The jury found Skye Reece guilty of murdering 17-month-old Lanceton Hollenbeck. Earlier this morning, attorneys on both sides gave closing arguments.

The prosecution urged jurors to use common sense when determining whether Reece is guilty or not guilty. Defense attorneys argued that there is not enough evidence to prove Reece is guilty.

She faces a life sentence with the possibility of parole. Reece was dating Lanceton's dad and was caring for the child, when he suffered severe injuries. The toddler's injuries included a severe skull fracture.

Reece will be ordered to serve at least 38 and half years of her sentence before being eligible for parole. Sentencing is scheduled for January 17th in Ottawa County Court.
