Pioneer Broadcaster Award Presented

A local broadcaster has been given a prestigious award from Missouri Southern State College. The 2001 Pioneer Broadcaster Award was awarded to Richard Massa. Massa is a retired head of the communication department at MSSC. He also was involved in the international studies program. The award is given to an individual who has made extraordinary contributions to the field of electronic communications. Awards were also given to high school and junior high students that have shown excellence in the communications field. This is the fifth annual award presentation.
