JOPLIN, MO.--- The man in red delivered gifts to the babies in the Freeman Hospital's NICU. Each baby got a teddy bear, blanket, and book, along with a picture with Santa. The hospital hosts this event annually and says it's a nice way to lift everyone's spirits during the holiday season.

"Employees become very close to these babies and also to the parents and the families. Bringing Santa here to share in that moment just lifts us all up a little bit," states Edie Ingram, CMN Program Manager.

The Freeman NICU provides treatment to premature and critically ill infants.
