JOPLIN -- Donations of toys, teddy bears and cash started coming into the "Toys for Tots" drop off box at Mission Joplin Saturday morning. The program lost nearly a quarter of all of its donations when someone walked off with toy drop boxes located in Neosho and Jane. Organizers say they are humbled by how the community has responded to the call for help.

"We are so thankful," says Toys for Tots volunteer Pamela Praytor. We are just overly blessed and because we can pass it on and bless it to the other kids here in our community."

Thee is still time to donate this weekend. Volunteers say they need toys for infants through teens. You can donate at the Mission Joplin warehouse at the intersection of 8th street and Highview street, just behind Forest Park Baptist Church.
