JOPLIN, MO.--- Books-a-Million in Joplin ends their month long holiday book drive today. Shoppers have filled a sleigh with books and gifts which will all be donated to the Ronald Mcdonald House of the Four States.

Store managers say collections have been so successful, they have had to make two separate trips to the Ronald Mcdonald House to unload all of the donations. Leaders from the charity say the donation will be a gift that keeps on giving.

"It gives us the opportunity to select some of those items to give to our guests who are currently here at Ronald McDonald house, then allow them to select toys and different items for their children," states Annette Thurston, Executive Director, Ronald Mcdonald House.

The donations will also be used to add to the Ronald Mcdonald House library, and restock the kids play room area.
