JOPLIN, MO.--- David Jones is the cook at the Joplin Salvation Army. He is cooking 150 hams, 300 potatoes, and 100 pies. He expects to serve 900 people on Christmas day. That is down from Thanksgiving, but still takes several days of planning and volunteers to make the meal happen.
"Never a dull moment. Just enjoy being able to help people in need. Go the extra step, make sure they have a hot meal. It's really satisfying," states David Jones, Salvation Army Cook.
The meal will be served at 11 a.m.
