CARTHAGE, MO.--- Norman Rouse is in the process of filing a motion to dismiss the case filed by former Jasper County Sheriff Archie Dunn over the Law Enforcement Sale Tax Grant Board. Current Sheriff Randee Kaiser has signed a document for the court, saying he will not pursue the issue.

"It's something I made clear early on that I didn't have any ambition or intention to be part of that lawsuit. Again, that was something that was between the former sheriff and the commission," Randee Kaiser, Jasper County Sheriff.

Dunn had filed the lawsuit after the Jasper County Commission replaced grant board members chosen by Dunn with a new group chosen by the commission. The judge has not made a decision in the case.
