WEBB CITY -- Chris Henkle and her husband own "Henkles Ace Hardware" on Madison Street. She says a huge increase in thefts is forcing her to take drastic action. The Henkles have spent thousands of dollars to install a state-of-the-art video surveillance system. Workers are also posting pictures of the alleged thieves in the store, and on Facebook. Henkle says her message for shoplifters is to stay out of her store.

"We work hard. we work a lot of hours all the time, and it's frustrating. There's so many good people, it makes us start questioning the people that come in. Is that guy, is he stealing? And we almost get paranoid, and we decided we were not going to live that way. We were going to do something about it."

Henkle says this is the first time in more than 20 years that she has felt the need to take such drastic action against thieves.

I agree that we should do all we can to stop shoplifters but you can't put pictures of alleged thieves, you have to wait until at least charged and /or convited, or your setting yourself up for a lawsuit
