Joplin Art Feeds Wins $50,000

JOPLIN, MO.--- Dallas Mavericks owner, Mark Cuban, donated $50,000 to the Joplin Arts Feeds program after asking the public to chose their favorite charity over Twitter. The money will be used to provide Art Feeds classes for 1,300 students in Joplin schools. Founder Meg Bourne-Hulsey says the outpouring of support will help continue their mission.
"It's a goal of ours and its been a goal for a long time to reach every child in Joplin, so that's 18 schools. Currently we're in 10 schools, that fifty thousand will help us tremendously," states Meg Bourne-Hulsey, Arts Feeds Founder.
Art Feeds is also looking into establishing new programs in Brooklyn and Manhattan, New York.
