With Shonte Clay's best offensive performance of the season, the MSSU women's basketball team won their 4th straight game in conference. The Lions haven't done that since the 2010-11 season.

On the men's side, MSSU bounced back from their 26-point loss to Lindenwood Thursday to defeat Lincoln 99-80. True freshman Austin Wright led the way with 24 points shooting 6-8 from three point land.

Saturday wasn't nearly as kind to the Gorillas though. The women's basketball team came up three points short in their top 20 matchup with Central, and they lost sophomore Hailey Roderique on the last play of the game to a knee injury. Pitt State says they'll run tests over the next few days to determine the specific injury.

As for the men, the Gorillas fell to Central Missouri 80-73. The loss drops them to 4-2 in conference. They'll meet Missouri Southern in Joplin on Wednesday.
