Kenton Cowgill Jr. Bound Over for Trial

JASPER CO., MO--- Kenton Cowgill Jr., 27, of Carthage appeared in Jasper County court Wednesday, on numerous felony charges. Cowgill waived his right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over for trial. Cowgill is due back in court January 28th.
Investigators say Cowgill was involved in a domestic dispute that led to a girl, 2, and a boy, 4, being shot. According to reports, an argument between Cowgill and his wife became physical, and her father, 48-year-old Mark Whittenmyer pulled out a shotgun. The two men began to struggle, leading the shotgun to discharging and striking the children. They were treated for non-life threatening injuries.
