DIAMOND, MO.--- Tonight is the Diamond High School "Pink Out Men's Basketball Game," which got underway at 6 p.m. The Wildcats are playing in East Newton in an effort to raise money for two local families who are affected by breast cancer, and the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks.

Proceeds from pink tee shirts, hoodies, and wrist bands will be donated to the families, along with money collected from a raffle at the game and a half-time shoot out. Principal Brian Lee says although this is an athletic competition, the real winners will be the local families affected.

"It's a great cause. Even if you don't know somebody that's affected by breast cancer, there are a lot of people that are, and you probably know someone that knows somebody. It's a great cause and I'm proud of the kids for doing this and I hope our teams do well tonight," said Brian Lee, Diamond High School Principal.

This is the first ever "Pink Out" game in Diamond. Administrators say the idea came from another student athlete who saw something similar at the state fair.
