MIAMI, OK -- The Illinois man accused of planning to bomb 48 Miami churches is taken into federal custody.

24-year-old Gregory Weiler was indicted in federal court on Monday.

He was transported to Tulsa this morning.

Weiler will no longer face state charges in connection to the crime.

They were dismissed after the federal court system took over the case.

Weiler was arrested in October at the Legacy Inn Hotel in Miami after officers found

52 handmade fire bombs in the hotel's dumpster.

They linked the bombs to Weiler and also found a journal in his room outlining his plan to destroy local churches.

Weiler had been held at the Ottawa County Jail since his arrest.
