Chanute PD Offers Reward for Information In Murder Investigation

CHANUTE, KS.--- The Chanute Police Department is offering a $1,000 reward to the first person who has information on the whereabouts of Brian Shields, 27, and Michelle Voorhees, 22. They are wanted for murder and arson. The suspects are considered armed and dangerous.

Police believe Shields and Voorhees were involved in an fire that killed Cristy Wiles, 37, of Chanute. The blaze broke out about 2 weeks ago at a home on Lafayette Avenue. Police found Wiles' body in the remains of the home last week.
