REDINGS MILL, MO.---- The Redings Mill Fire Chief Andy Nimmo will soon be stepping down, after accepting a position in a different fire district. Nimmo has been with the Redings Mill Fire Department for the past 21 years.

He will soon be taking over as assistant training chief for the Joplin Fire Department. Nimmo says he is proud of how much he has accomplished in his 13 years as fire chief in Redings Mill.

"It was a tough decision, there is no doubt about it, but again, it's the right time. This place is ready, at it's peak right now, and we've got some good people that are going to fill the gaps and take over from here," says Andy Nimmo, Redings Mill Fire Chief.

Nimmo says it will take several weeks before he transfers to the Joplin Fire Department.
