CARL JUNCTION, MO.--- Tammy Frederickson is a farmer in Carl Junction and has had a rough season this past year. She said the drought was so bad, she wasn't able to grow much of her pumpkin crop.

The other crops didn't fare much better. She says the rain and snow will help her in late March when she starts to put the new crops into the ground.

"The big bonus for us is snow melts slowly and soaks into the ground. We're getting some of that much needed moisture where we need it," says Frederickson.

Since December 1st, we are still about an inch below normal for precipitation.
